WHAT IS BLOOM?

Bloom in Generations was created from the belief that every woman carries a story worth honoring and wisdom worth sharing. We believe there is power in bringing generations together. Older women carry lessons that can help guide those coming behind them, while younger women bring perspectives that can inspire the generations before them. When we create room for both, something beautiful happens.
While Bloom was created with women at the heart of its vision, it is not limited to women alone. Bloom 2027 will include a male presence as well, creating space for men to participate, support, learn, and contribute to the intergenerational experience. Together, we will continue building a community where people of different ages, perspectives, and experiences can connect and grow.
Bloom is a space where women can put down comparison, embrace where they are, learn from where others have been, and recognize that growth can happen in every season of life. It is also an opportunity for men to engage meaningfully in the conversations, relationships, and shared experiences that help generations flourish.

Meaning Behind Bloom
MORE THAN A NAME
Bloom represents becoming. A flower doesn't bloom the moment it is planted. Before anyone sees its beauty, there are roots being formed beneath the surface. There are seasons of waiting, stretching, pruning, and growth.
Women experience seasons like these, too. Some seasons are visible. Others happen quietly. Some require us to release who we were, while others invite us to discover who we are becoming. Bloom in Generations exists to remind women that every season has value. Your past can be honored without becoming the limit of your future.
You are allowed to grow. You are allowed to change. You are allowed to begin again. You are allowed to bloom.

Meet the Founder
Destinee Brown-Bowens
Bloom in Generations was founded by Destinee Brown-Bowens, a visionary, executive, creative managerial director, and woman passionate about creating spaces where women feel seen, valued, and empowered.
What began as a personal desire to bring women together has grown into a movement centered on growth, connection, healing, and purpose. Inspired by her own journey and the women who helped shape her along the way, Destinee created Bloom as a space where women of all generations can gather, share their stories, and embrace the beauty of becoming.
She believes that every woman carries purpose, every season has meaning, and every story has the power to inspire someone else. Through Bloom, her hope is to cultivate a community where women are encouraged to break limits, own their moments, and bloom boldly into all they were created to be.
For Destinee, Bloom is more than an event but it is a reflection of what becomes possible when women come together, support one another, and choose growth in every season of life.
A Special Honor
On June 27, 2026, the inaugural Bloom in Generations became even more meaningful when the City of Springfield officially proclaimed June 27th as “Destinee Brown-Bowens Day.” Presented in recognition of Destinee’s dedication to creating spaces for connection, empowerment, and community, this honor marked a powerful moment in both her personal journey and the story of Bloom. What began as a vision to bring generations together is now forever connected to a day that celebrates purpose, impact, and the courage to bring a vision to life.

What began as a vision became a room filled with women from different generations, backgrounds, and seasons of life.
On June 27, 2026, women gathered in Springfield, Massachusetts for the inaugural Bloom in Generations experience. An afternoon intentionally designed around connection, reflection, wisdom, confidence, and becoming. Women didn't simply come to attend an event. They came to share. They listened. They laughed. They reflected. They poured into one another. And throughout the experience, women were reminded that no matter what season they found themselves in, their story was still unfolding.
The first Bloom planted the seed.
Now, we continue to grow.
