I'm still in awe of the success of the 2024 Springfield Creative City Collective Annual Meeting! Capturing the energy and meaningful moments of the event was an incredible experience. Throughout the month, I'll be sharing more thoughts, images, and videos to fully reflect on this multifaceted gathering we brought to life together.

The event took place on December 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the stunning Penthouse 650 in Springfield. It was an evening filled with insightful panel discussions on Sustainable Economic Development through Creativity, featuring esteemed speakers like Michael Bobbit from Mass Cultural Council, Brian Boyles from Mass Humanities, and other prominent leaders in the field.

Our keynote speaker, Shey Rivera Ríos (they/them), an interdisciplinary artist and cultural worker, delivered a transformative address. With 14 years of experience, including co-directing AS220 in Providence and groundbreaking work at MIT CoLab, Shey’s keynote was an inspiring blend of storytelling, urban planning, and racial equity.

We also explored critical topics such as Social Infrastructure, Regional Ecosystem Mapping, Social Determinants of Health, and Creative Economic Development with experts like Xiomara DeLobato, Derek Craig, and John Andrews. The night concluded with a powerful Call to Action led by Alice Farrell.

Stay tuned as I continue to share more from this unforgettable event, highlighting the creativity, collaboration, and vibrant spirit of our community!
